Shai Oseran and Stéphane Cohen

Shai Oseran is Head of Operations at The Israel Project’s Jerusalem office. A veteran of the IDF Intelligence Corps, he holds a B.A. in International Relations from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and an M.A. in Government, specializing in Counter Terrorism and Homeland Security, from the IDC in Herzliya. Stéphane Cohen is Defense Analyst at The Israel Project’s Jerusalem office. Born in France, served 12 years in the IDF, his last position as Commanding Officer of IDF Liaison Unit to UNDOF. Being the first IDF officer to be sent to the official UN Military Observers Course, he held different positions as the military liaison between multiple government agencies and international organizations in times of peace and conflict. During his active service and beyond, he took part in many missions and projects with foreign forces in Israel and abroad. Active in military and public diplomacy for 15 years; he is a well-respected expert in diplomatic circles. Recipient of the State of Israel President’s Award for Outstanding service (1999) and Israel Air Force Excellency Decoration.
