The terrorist organization Hamas published photos (Arabic link) on Sunday showing Palestinian minors dressed in military uniforms and being given weapons training with assault rifles. This training is part of military youth camps which Hamas opened throughout the Gaza Strip under the name “Pioneers of Independence.”

The camps are designated for youth aged 15 through 21 and have been held over the course of the past week in the afternoon.The training in the camps includes acquiring military skills, using live ammunition, hearing sermons, and completing civil defense and first aid courses.

Among the classic and repeated Hamas slogans is the group’s fighters’ declaration that they “love death” more than their declared Israeli enemies “love life.” The new photos are another example of how the Iran-backed terror organization brainwashes Palestinian children with their ideology and recruit them against international law.

Hamas use of child soldiers is a direct violation of the UN’s Protocol to the Convention on the Rights of the Child on the Involvement of Children in Armed Conflict (OPAC), of which the Palestinians are a signatory. By law no soldier should be younger than 18.
