Snap Polls Evaluate Israel Electoral Landscape

Multiple snap polls evaluating the Israeli electoral landscape converged on the conclusion not only that “Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu looks set for easy re-election in an Israeli ballot early next year” and that the center-right bloc may emerge more powerful than it is now. The Israeli center-left is struggling to form a ‘mega-party’ that would be able to compete with Netanyahu’s Likud party. TIP held a telephone briefing yesterday with Amit Segal, the chief political correspondent at Israel’s Channel 2, to provide journalists with an overview and analysis of the upcoming election. The recording of the call can be downloaded here.
