Iran’s Ambassador to Lebanon Meets In Beirut With Lebanon Foreign Minister

Iran’s ambassador to Lebanon Qazanfar Roknabadi met yesterday in Beirut with Lebanese Foreign Minister Adnan Mansour. Iranian media described the meeting as designed to “further expand the bilateral relations and mutual cooperation between the two nations.” The U.S. State Department in turn describes Iran’s relations with Lebanon as built on supplying its terrorist proxy Hezbollah with “hundreds of millions of dollars in support,” and Western journalists have noted that “In Lebanon, Hezbollah flags have been spotted adorned with a mushroom cloud” in support of the Iranian nuclear program. In August Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah boasted that his organization’s Iranian-supplied weapons would “transform the lives of millions” of Israelis into “a real hell.”
