Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir has described that relationship as “deeply rooted,” and Israeli officials extensively outlined how Sudan operates as a pipeline for Iranian weapons destined for Palestinian terrorists. Khartoum is under increasing Congressional pressure over its persecution of gender and religious minorities, its alliances with rogue regimes, and its support for terrorism.
