Iranian Missile Experts Secretly Enter North Korea Ahead Of Planned Rocket Launch

Iranian missile experts have secretly entered North Korea ahead of a planned rocket launch, according to intelligence officials quoted in South Korean media sources. It follows reports in Japanese media of October meetings in Pyongyang between Iranian and North Korean officials. The presence of another Iranian delegation will demonstrate close and ongoing military ties between the two rogue regimes, and may bolster analysts skeptical of engagement with either. The North Korean rocket launch itself, meanwhile, has been delayed by what Pyongyang described as a “technical deficiency.” North Korea’s rocket program has long been noted as less than robust.
