The first Israeli opinion poll of 2013 seems to confirm that the joint Likud Beiteinu party list of incumbent Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has seen its position erode in recent weeks. Wednesday’s Dahaf poll predicts that the list will win only 34 out of 120 Knesset seats in the upcoming January 22 election. The Jewish Home/National Union slate is continuing to climb, taking seats from Likud Beiteinu’s right, and is now predicted to win 14 seats. The second place party remains Labor, though it too has slipped, from 20 seats to 16.
