Fatah Video Praises Female Fighters and Suicide Bombers

The Times of Israel reported Friday on a new video appearing at the official Facebook page of Fatah, the political party of Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, praising female fighters and suicide bombers.

The Times reports that  the narration of cites three notorious female terrorist as role models for Palestinian women.

“Another aspect of the Palestinian woman’s role in all areas is being created here,” the narrator continues.

“She is not merely the man’s partner in domestic life, but his companion wherever he is; on the battlefield, she is at his side on the frontline, and fulfills an active role in training generations of resistance [fighters], who will confront the ‘invincible’ army.”

The narrator proceeds to explain that the female fighters have “willpower stronger than mountains,” and that they “strive to become an important part of the path of Jihad and the struggle — the path walked by Dalal Mughrabi, Hanadi Jaradat and Reem Riyashi.”

Mugrahbi led the Coastal Road massacre in 1978,  “killing 37 civilians, 12 of them children, and wounding over 70.” Jadarat was the first female suicide bomber, blowing up a Haifa restaurant in 2003, killing 21 people and injuring 51. Riyashi blew herself up near the Erez crossing from Gaza into Israel killing four others and wounding 10 in 2004.

Though Fatah is often described as “moderate,” earlier this week the movement boasted of joining the Hamas terror war against Israel. The boast was preceded by expressions of solidarity at the official Fatah Facebook page.
