The blue-and-white companies are showing off new apps, IoT technologies, automotive tech, mobile solutions, and other technologies.

Drupe, a mobile app that allows users to integrate their contact list and communication apps on Android smartphones, is one of the nominees for the Most Innovative Mobile App prize.

“The mobile industry has undergone a major transformation in recent years. While a few years ago the arena was aimed at traditional telecommunication service providers and device manufacturers, today we are witnessing the entry of new players in the mobile world such as automakers, financial institutions, health institutions, airlines and more,” Ofer Forer, a trade director at the Israel Export Institute, said in a statement. “The Ministry of Economy and Industry hopes to enthrall the big companies and create new business ties with technologies and solutions being produced by Israeli companies, and which are on display at the Israel Pavilion at MWC.”

The Israeli Pavilion at the MWC event, running from February 27 – March 2, 2017, is one of the biggest country-sponsored delegations, with 65 companies taking part. Some 100 other Israeli startups are participating in the mobile event but are not part of the showcase at the pavilion.
