Israeli Startups Have Raised More than $350 Million This Month

June continues to be a hot month for Israeli startups, with companies raising an amazing $356 million in investments 20 days.

Just the first week of the month brought in an astounding $237 million. But instead of slowing down as the global markets indicate is happening in the rest of the world, Israeli companies continued to announce multi-million dollar funding rounds.

Leading the charge this month was website guide developer WalkMe, which announced $50 million in funding raised this month. User-generated content marketing platform Yotpo closed a $22 million round of financing, video ad company Eyeview raised $21.5 million, and flash storage company Elastifile received another $15 million from Cisco Systems, bringing its total investment this year to $50 million.

Sony Pictures Entertainment reportedly invested $45 million in the Israeli media and technology company Interlude, known for its Eko interactive storytelling platform. Sony will collaborate with Interlude on developing content to be distributed via Eko.

The Rehovot-based startup Lumus, a leading developer of transparent near-to-eye displays for smart eyewear and virtual reality, announced on June 15 that it has received $15 million of funding, led by the global investment firm Shanda Group and Crystal-Optech, a leading Chinese photo-electric component manufacturer. Also receiving $15 million was the mobile therapy app company Talkspace.

Smaller financing rounds include $10.5 million for dashcam app Nexar, $6.6 million for infant sleep monitor startup Nanit, and $5 million for cyberintelligence startup Sixgill.
