Beyoncé Wins Raves for Israeli-Designed Gown at Grammys

One of this year’s most talked-about gowns at the Grammy Awards on Monday night was an Inbal Dror-designed wedding dress worn by Beyoncé.

Beyoncé made a grand entrance “wearing a high-necked white lace Inbal Dror gown with tulle insets at the collar and cuffs, plus two twin slits inset with the same sheer material,” wrote People Style Watch.

Beyoncé was credited for stealing the half-time show at Super Bowl 50 with her amazing performance. Some say she stole the show again, this time upstaging Record of the Year winners Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars while presenting the award to them.

“Beyoncé casually wore a wedding dress to the Grammys,” read the headline of Elle magazine, adding as a sub-head: “The queen can do as she pleases.”

The dress is from the Inbal Dror Fall 2016 Bridal collection.

“The designer, best known for her sexy silhouettes, illusion paneling and intricate embroidery, seems a perfect fit for the Formation singer, whose not afraid to walk the carpet in something sparkly or sheer,” raved Harper’s Bazaar.

Harpers also called the dress “the bridal equivalent of hot sauce in your bag, swag.”

“It was an amazing moment to see one of my favorite stars wearing one of my designs,” Dror, who was trained at Israel’s Shenkar College of Engineering and Design, told BRIDES after seeing Beyoncé in her dress. “I can’t even begin to explain the feeling. I am so excited for what is yet to come!”

It was reported in Israeli media last week that promoters were working to bring Beyoncé to Israel to perform two shows in August.
