Hamas Leader Haniyeh’s Daughter Treated in Israeli Hospital

The Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv confirmed Sunday that it had recently treated the daughter of Hamas leader, Ismail Haniyeh.

The Times of Israel reported:

Avi Shushan, a spokesman for Tel Aviv’s Ichilov Hospital, said the daughter of Ismail Haniyeh was hospitalized for “a number of days” this month. He did not disclose what she was treated for. …

On June 3, Maj. Guy Inbar, an Israeli Defense Ministry spokesman, said the terror group leader’s mother-in-law, 68, was allowed to enter from the Gaza Strip to receive cancer treatment at a Jerusalem hospital. Last November, Haniyeh’s one-year-old granddaughter was evacuated to an Israeli hospital in critical condition, but was returned to her family in Gaza after her condition was deemed incurable, an Israeli military spokesman said. The girl later died of her condition.

Reuters adds:

During the war and since it ended in late August, dozens of patients from Gaza have been brought to hospitals in Israel, where the resources and technology for advanced treatment and complicated operations are vastly better.

Hamas, as Reuters observes, “is sworn to Israel’s destruction.”

Earlier this month Haniyeh swore to “continue to build and develop the weapon of resistance,” despite agreeing to a ceasefire with Israel to end Operation Protective Edge in August.
