Day 18 – 12-Hour Ceasefire Announced

The eighteenth day of Operation Protective Edge is over, as is the first week of ground operations.

A 12-hour ceasefire was just announced.

A post today in The Tower reported on Israeli Ambassador Ron Dermer’s chiding of CNN’s Erin Burnett due to her network’s failure to “connect the dots” and explicitly acknowledge that the blame for civilian casualties in Gaza ought to be placed on Hamas.

The Jerusalem Post reported earlier today that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared that Israel would “continu[e] Operation Protective Edge at full strength, in the air and on the ground,” given Hamas’ unreasonable negotiation demands.

Khaled Mesha’al, Moussa Abu Marzouk, and Ismail Haniyeh aren’t just leaders of the terrorist group Hamas – they’re also fabulously wealthy. Their ill-gotten gains allow them to live comfortably and direct a terror war against Israel while the average Gazan lives in poverty.
