Hezbollah, Iran Condemn Int’l Support of Israeli Right to Self Defense

As world leaders continue to express support for Israel’s right to defend itself, Iran’s Lebanese proxy Hezbollah has gone on the offensive, attacking this backing of Israeli actions.

(Hezbollah Deputy Secretary-General Sheikh Naim) Qassem stressed that “Gaza and Palestine are facing an international Zionist aggression, covered by the U.S. administration by not opposing the Zionist ground assault in the Gaza Strip.”

He expressed beliefs that UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon is also covering the aggression “by his strong condemnation of launching rockets from Gaza into Israel, urging Palestinians to stop such unacceptable attacks, while calling on Netanyahu to show restraint only.”

Meanwhile, over the weekend Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei accused the United States and the United Kingdom of

officially supporting the murder of the oppressed children in Gaza….”some world powers would make much ado about death of a pet in any point in the world.”

“However, the latest attack on Gaza and slaughtering of more than Gazans, many of them innocent children and oppressed people, not only would not raise their sensitivities, but the US and UK are officially supporting such attacks as well,” his eminence added.

“Today’s world realities lie in supporting the dominant forces without fear, and in supporting their dirty and corruption, along with opposing any cleansing and sacred action not in harmony with their interests,” Supreme Leader went on to say.

However, despite the criticisms of Iran and Hezbollah, Western leaders continue to show understanding of the extremely difficult situation in which Israel finds itself, first among them Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper.

“The indiscriminate rocket attacks from Gaza on Israel are terrorist acts, for which there is no justification. It is evident that Hamas is deliberately using human shields to further terror in the region.

“Failure by the international community to condemn these reprehensible actions would encourage these terrorists to continue their appalling actions. Canada calls on its allies and partners to recognize that these terrorist acts are unacceptable and that solidarity with Israel is the best way of stopping the conflict.

“Canada is unequivocally behind Israel. We support its right to defend itself, by itself, against these terror attacks, and urge Hamas to immediately cease their indiscriminate attacks on innocent Israeli civilians.

“Canada reiterates its call for the Palestinian government to disarm Hamas and other Palestinian terrorist groups operating in Gaza, including the Iranian proxy, Palestinian Islamic Jihad.”
